Morganna Gundogs

MORGANNA is a small kennel established in 1978 which strives to maintain dual purpose Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas and Weimaraners.
One of my proudest moment with Weimaraners came in 1993 when CH MORGANNA MOZART (field trial winner and the Weimaraner Association’s top field trial dog 1992) won the magic third Challenge Certificate at Crufts and became a full champion.  More recently I have been privileged to breed a number of successful Hungarian Wire Haired Vizslas, the most notable being the record breaking bitch, Champion Morganna Star Anise JW ShCM.

I was thrilled when Show Champion Morganna MIllerson JW, won his first and second CCs at consecutive championship shows in June 2009 and in August 2009 gained his crown.

Millerson’s son, Morganna Mover JW ShCM, followed in father’s footsteps and  had a promising start to his show career winning consistently and gaining enough points for his junior warrant at eleven months. He won three Best Puppy in Show awards and the Weimaraner Association’s Top Puppy 2010 competition. At 18 months he won his first Reserve Challenge Certificate and has won two more in 2012. He was a good working gundog with an excellent nose for game.

I am no longer breeding Weimaraners and concentrating on my Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas.  Morganna Allspice had a successful puppy career including five best puppy in breed at championship level and best puppy in show at open level. She has also won best in show twice at the HWVCGB limit shows.  Morganna Toffee Crisp is a RCC winner.  M Cosmopolitan won best puppy in breed at her first championship show and is doing well in her gundog training. The latest star is Champion Morganna Star Anise JW ShCM, Allspice’s daughter who has had a successful show career to date.  At 17 months she became the youngest show champion in the breed and aged two she gained her working qualification and became the breed’s first full champion. We are very proud. As at October 2018 she is the top winning bitch ever with 21CCs, 15 Best of Breed and 5 RCCs. Her daughter Dottie has started her show career in  style winning well at championship level and gaining a best puppy in show at 7 months.

Over the years Morganna breeding has had success in the showring, field, working trials and agility. Morganna dogs are bred for type, temperament and working ability. I have had  39 years’ experience with HPRs and offer lifetime support and advice for owners.
